On May 18-21 in Austin, Texas a few friends and familiar faces will roll out a new kind of event, Hot Luck: Live Food & Music. It’s not a typical festival, but it will sure be a good time.
Hot Luck is inspired by friendly tailgates, family reunions, get togethers and potlucks of our past and present — with a few differences. It is a fun, chef-driven, celebration of fire, food, music, and camaraderie. An a la carte eat-with-your-fingers picnic and party experience that highlights open-pit feats of culinary know how, and music in your ears that is as thoughtfully created as the food on your plate. Come hungry, thirsty, and bring your dancin' boots.
Hot Luck is simple - it's about getting together around the land, places, and folks that inspire us — the food, the music, the friends, and the joy. Hot Luck is about honoring the soul, sweat, and DIY diversity of the world around it. It’s the perfect imperfection of grandma’s gumbo and pawpaw’s BBQ — but delivered by new interpretations from the next generation. Get together with us for the Austin Hot Luck hoedown and relax — this ain't an event you have to dress for, it's just a good time.
Hot Luck is proud to donate a portion of the festival’s proceeds to The SAFE Alliance. The SAFE Alliance is a merger of Austin Children’s Shelter and SafePlace, both long-standing and respected human service agencies in Austin serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence. Hot Luck consists of more than seven events that will be held at various locations centered around downtown Austin and throughout the city.
A portion of proceeds from Hot Luck are donated to The SAFE Alliance, a merger of Austin Children’s Shelter and SafePlace. To learn more about our charity click here.
All festival tickets are sold directly through HotLuckFest.com. Hot Luck tickets will be on sale on Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 at 10:00 AM CST!

All events will take place rain or shine. Weather contingency plans are in place for each event.
Unless noted otherwise, all of our events are 21 and over only (no infants, small children or strollers).
All of our events are omnivore friendly. We will have a few vegetarian options at our main events; however, in order for us to allow our participating chefs full creativity, our events are not catered to vegetarians or those with strict dietary restrictions. Thank you for your understanding.
All Hot Luck event prices are all inclusive, which means that once you have purchased your tickets there are no additional charges for food, drinks or gratuity at the event. *
